General Requirements - Follow OSHA Regulations
..... A roofing bracket platform must always be set so that the platforms fits the pitch of the roof. If a non-adjustable roofing bracket is used, it must fit the pitch of the roof. 16 penney nails shall be used. Make sure all nail positions are used and penetrate roof surface and roof rafter. Brackets shall not be more that 4 feet apart and shall produce a level platform. Wood platform planks shall not be less 2 inches thick, and shall extend beyond outer brackets no more than 12 inches and not less than 6 inches. Only straight grained, clear wood shall be used. Nails shall be affixed to hold bracket to platform. Do not overlap platform planks. Only one person shall occupy any given 4 feet of platform space. Capacity of 4 feet of platform space shall be one man per plus maximum of 40 lbs. Rope supports or additional guard rails shall be used when required by OSHA regulations.

..... Roof brackets only shall be used by experienced construction workers having full knowledge of OSHA regulations. Inspect roofing brackets to be sure there is no deformation. Discard if there is any damage or deterioration due to rusting. Do not use brackets in extreme wet or cold conditions.
